Graeme Byrd is a connector, collaborator and changemaker. With 15+ years of experience, Graeme is at the intersection of technology, sustainable business and marketing with a commitment to empower businesses in supporting clients and using technology for societal benefit. Graeme leverages his experience in social business, technology and engaging communities, to drive a maximum benefit for business that balance the needs of today with a commitment to create a sustainable society for the next seven generations.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Graeme has expansive experience building technology and agency partnerships for established, startups and fast growing companies. Working closely with partners to build mutually beneficial relationships to drive revenue acceleration.

Technology has been integral to Graeme as early as his childhood (when he would code in Basic on his Commodore 64). More recently he has worked with multiple early stage global tech companies and spent 6 years (in the US and Canada) managing partner relationships at Hootsuite. Before becoming an owl (Hootsuite employee) in Vancouver BC, Graeme’s experience was heavily focused in Oregon where he spent 3 years as the Director of Business Development and Client Services for cascade web//development managing clients’ strategy, design and website development needs.

Graeme’s commitment to connecting and collaborating for societal benefit can be seen through his work in building community. Currently Graeme on the Board of Trustees (holding the roles of Vice President and Chair of the External Affairs Committee) at the International School of Portland - committed to inspiring nearly 500 students each year from age 3 to 5th grade to become global citizens through an inquiry-based learning environment of total immersion in multiple languages and cultures. During his earlier days in Portland, Graeme was President of the Net Impact Portland Chapter, a founding member of Oregon Environmental Council's Emerging Leaders Board and Chair of the steering committee to launch the "Associates" Program for Business for Culture & the Arts. Graeme was also involved in making change happen at the state level and in 2013 he worked closely with fellow business leaders in Oregon to pass House bill 2296 creating "Benefit Companies." (Recipient of the the B Lab Collective Action Award in 2013 for his work in passing this legislation in Oregon.)

His earlier professional experience includes managing business development and client relations for FMYI [for my innovation] (now Grouptrail), developing marketing programs for national restaurant chains, launching a customer centric carbon neutral program for an automotive services company, working in higher education, and creating documentary films for the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center (now part of Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education) and International Korean Adoptee Associations (amongst other film projects).

Graeme has been a speaker at numerous conferences, events, workshops and universities, including Partnership Leaders, the Net Impact Conference, Green Professionals Conference, Willamette Valley Development Officers Conference, Portland State University, Willamette University, and Special Libraries Association.

Graeme and his wife, Stacey, spend their time focused on family activities and traveling with their Portuguese Water Dog, Ojai Cali and child, Roen. One may say they are just 2 Byrds a Roen!
