I'm excited to return to the annual Net Impact Conference later this week. It will be my 4th Net Impact Conference in 6 years in which I've spoken or attended. This year is especially interesting as I embark on a new topic for me to share about - life. As the first weekend of May passed I've been thinking about anniversaries as it is an important one for me. A year ago I moved to Vancouver, BC. My fiancée (now wife) had accepted a job in Vancouver and as two US Citizens we made the move across the 49th Parallel (after all the necessary government paperwork was approved).
As a society we honor, recognize or celebrate the anniversarires of lots of things. Some times these are anniversaries of major large events (positive and negative) or personal events. But why do we do so?

Three years ago I was wrapping up a trip to Sweden and Norway to visit friends and family. It was an unbelievable trip that I will never forget. Lately, I've been reflecting on the adventures taken on these travels. While I look through my photos of the amazing architecture and historical places, I'm constantly reminded about the open spaces and vastness in the world.
