On the board, my focus has been growing the school's network, building a culture of philanthropy and supporting its long-term sustainability. As a member of the Council of Ambassadors, I help promote the school to the wider community, raise its profile in Portland and explore strategic partnerships with like-minded people and organizations. ISP is the Pacific Northwest's first International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) school, and the only school in the US offering Spanish, Japanese or Mandarin from preschool through 5th grade under one roof.

I volunteered with B Lab to recruit and support companies through B Corp certification, helping them make the business case and break through barriers, and shared best practices with fellow ambassadors across North America.

I led the creation and launch of the Associates Program, designed to engage a diverse group of 100 next-generation professionals with Greater Portland's arts community and build lasting support for its arts organizations.

I worked with fellow Oregon business leaders and elected officials to pass House Bill 2296, creating Benefit Companies, a new legal entity for sustainable business. I received the B Lab Collective Action Award for my leadership and collaboration on this work.

I rebuilt the chapter in a year, doubling membership, expanding the leadership team, developing partnerships and creating new community impact programs. We were the host chapter for the 2011 Net Impact Conference, where I led the "Portland Impact" and "Welcome to Oregon" launch party committees, and earned Gold Standing in 2012. I also served on national task forces to improve chapter leader relations and was a founding member of Net Impact's Professional Chapter Advisory Council, a global committee advising staff on growing professional chapters.

As a founding member, I helped create and guide this advisory board to Oregon's oldest environmental organization, focused on building relationships with future generations through engagement, fundraising, content and programs.

I've also volunteered with the Board of Change (Vancouver, BC), Oregon League of Conservation Voters, The Bus Project, Northwest Earth Institute, the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center and other organizations working to create positive change.
